Training

Effective January 1, 2020, the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act requires annual sexual harassment training for all employers who have at least one employee. Employers who do not comply with the law will be subject to civil penalties.

IFMK Law offers sexual harassment training compliant with Illinois law. IFMK Law is licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to sponsor sexual harassment training and offer 1 hour of CEUs for all Illinois licensed professionals. Training is conducted by Illinois licensed attorneys with actual litigation experience handling sexual harassment complaints in federal and state court, as well as before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Illinois Department of Human Rights. Classes are designed to be engaging with real-life examples of sexual harassment cases litigated in the State of Illinois. Additional training is also available for management-level employees to understand their duties and obligations under the law. Following the class, attendees are given a post-test to demonstrate their knowledge and provided with certificates of attendance.

In addition to sexual harassment prevention training, IFMK Law attorneys can provide training on other employment law topics such as:

  • Employment Discrimination
  • The Fair Labor Standards Act
  • The Family Medical Leave Act
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Public Employees’ Due Process Rights
  • Employee Drug Testing, including the use of cannabis by employees
  • And Many More!
